14. Hospitalisation due to accident - daily indemnity
By contracting this guarantee the insurer shall indemnify the insured with the daily amount established in the policy's schedule for each day of internment in a hospital or clinic as a result an accident covered by the policy, with a maximum limit of 365 days of internment for one or several claims within the same insurance period.
Hospitalisation in a hospital or clinic shall be considered entry as a patient one or more times as the consequence of a single accident, in a centre which is a legally authorised hospital or clinic.
THE FOLLOWING IS NOT COVERED:
a. Hospitalisation in mental institutions or geriatric facilities or in treatment and rehabilitation centres for drug or alcohol addiction.
b. Hospitalisation caused by sequelae stemming from accidents occurring before the policy came into force, as long as those accidents were definitively registered 24 months before the beginning of the policy.
